Growler fill from the brewery, served in a tulip glass.
Beer is neutral brown in color, with a thick chestnut head. Mild chocolatey, roasty notes in the aroma. Flavor is more uplifting and refreshing than the beer's appearance would suggest, but after all, it is a saison. Brewer's notes claim Sabro hops, jasmine flowers, and grains of paradise. I can't pinpoint all those flavors but it does come across to me as a chocolate saison. Really enjoyable, actually, if paradoxical. There's only the very faintest bit of tartness, and combined with the comparatively low ABV, it's intensely drinkable. Seek this out while it's available.
