a cream ale with pomegranate and blueberry, and they havent done a bad job with it. the base cream ale is super light, almost too light, but it lets the fruit really shine. seems more like juice than whole berries, but its good, and its not too sweet, i think i get a little more of the pomegranate than i do the blueberry, but those are both tricky flavors to negotiate in any beer, and i think they have gotten pretty close to right on with them. i just wish for a little more beer in the glass ya know? like, it tastes good, but wheres the grain and the yeast and the hops? its almost too light in that way, although i can see the appeal, especially in hot weather. good carbonation helps it stay refreshing, but this is definitely most preferable when its frosty ice cold. my first beer from these guys has me intrigued, the idea is great, cool mix of fruit flavors, and the execution isnt far off. a spike of wheat or something in the mash would make this really very good, or even a more flavorful ale yeast, it needs some other beer element, almost doesnt matter which one it is...
