I wish American micros made more Milds. The brew is subtle and suits the palates of malt-heads like me.
Lil Nigel is a good example of what American micros should do more of. Its Looks offer a nice amber. Smells are full-on malt like a nice bread. Only in the finish do I detect how the hops hold the sweet in check. Medium-mouthed in a light style. Soft. Some fruity. But somehow there is a no-nonsense crispness in the lingering hops. Well done !
I give Nigel and Ghost Town very good Overall Hugs for showing other micros that Milds are possible. Recall that Ghost Town makes its money selling imperials, particularly IPAs. These are on the other end of the spectrum from Milds. Diversity feels good to me !

Very nice, easy drinking beer. Nothing wild just simple straightforward beer. Malt prominently but balanced by a touch of earthy hop bitterness
After drinking a few from the can I'm surprised at how deep amber the beer is.
Nose is mildly sweet, bready, lightly sulfury.
Taste is a wonderful crusty and grainy sweetness just touched with the earthy bitterness of English hops. Very easy to drink
Mouthfeel is soft but crisp.
