Thanks, Chris, Cassidy. Paired, rather appropriately, with ...For Victory.

About a year old, this is really well integrated with a rich, layered malt character, rich with rye, bourbon, vanilla and mild coconut. The malt depth is lovely here, rich and creamy, sweet but well balanced. The palate opens rich and full, sweet but balanced with honey, spicy rye, rich, noticeable, full noticeable barrel with both wood tannins and boozy warmth. Mildly sweet on the finish. Quite excellent.

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours a nice golden red/brown with little good. Good train of bubbles that persists, so definitely some carbonation. Nose is really nice. Plums, raisins, rye, toffee, woody spice, wheat, and a nice floral note. The taste is absolutely exceptional. More toffee comes through immediately. Sweet, but not too sweet. Lots of ripe fruits. Figs, dates, plums, bread, spice, oak, rye, and a hop/pine flavor. This gets better and better with each sip. Wow. I just keep wanting more. I start to get a nice sherry note over time. The ABV is very well hidden. Easy drinking for sure. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit dry. Overall, an absolutely fabulous ryewine.

Appearance - The beer poured copper in color with a white head crowning the glass.

Smell - The nose was boozy, but not overly strong. There was definitely an element of sweetness.

Taste - The profile have notes of vanilla, malt, rye, and dark fruit. The booze was well balanced and did not burn. It was pleasantly sweet, but not cloying. It went down way too easy.

Mouthfeel - The low carbonation and sweetness may this an unlikely easy drinker.

Overall - This beer is a fantastic example of the style.

It looks like water at low tide in a rusty ship graveyard. Some dark fruit on the nose. Tastes outstanding. Very rich, heady, lots dark fruit. At 13‰ abv drinking this by the pint will kick your ass.
