When I reviewed this beer in 2005 I thought it was terrible but today I have to revise my judgment a little. My beer budget was temporarily tight and I decided to check out this low budget beer again. Theoretically it should have all the traits of a good lager: bitter, bready and citric. It poured in a golden yellow colour but not with much foam. The smell was spicy, citric and a little hoppy, perhaps even acidic. Unfortunately it was a little watery but with notes of bread and citrus, although it was too sweet for my taste. It's a decent try, Spendrups! It's definately competative for a low budget beer (25% less) but in my view it lacks the body that would make it a solid lager.
