Pours a hazy light orange with fine head.
Smell is fruity and a bit sweet with notes of citrus, caramel and peach with some herbal hints.
Taste is fruity with a moderate bitterness. Notes of citrus, peach and grass.
Mouthfeel is thin to medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a huge letdown. Omaka is sort of a faux craft label of Spendrups, and I only bought this because it said it had Nelson in it. If it does, then Omaka absolutely failed at bringing out any characteristics of one of the most distinct hops out there. There is ZERO hints of Nelson or any other NZ hop in this. Not bad, but far, far off the mark.
