Collaboration with Collective Brewing Project
A grisette-style ale aged in oak foeders with orange blossom and calendula flowers, inspired by traditional grisette beers enjoyed by industrial miners after a long day of labor. Though the environment of beer consumption has changed, this easy-to-drink beer still hits the spot when looking for a refreshing beer at the end of the day.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a clear golden yellow beer which is topped by a dense and slightly fluffy two fingers of white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells of some cracker like malt, hints of spicy yeast, and hints of orchard fruits
T: Taste is hints of tartness, some cracker malts, some nice spicy yeast with hints of white pepper, a little oak, and some orchard fruits with a touch of lemon. On the swallow there's more lemony tartness, some orchard fruits, oak, and cracker like malt.
M: This beer has a body which is on the lighter side of things and teeters on feeling watery. Carbonation is effervescent and adequate for the style while the beer has a drying finish.
O: Overall this is one tasty beer that really hits the spot on a hot summer day. Pretty good complexity and this one has held up quite well to time.

Drank this in September 2020 during the Derby Day.
Pours a kind of bright yellow with ample cloudiness not venturing into full on hazy ipa like territory. 1/3" white head. The aroma was interesting and different. There was like a soft floral presence, chamomile or something like that alongside the usual traditional saison like notes opposed to say, some of the wild ale saison hybrids out there.
Taste was the high point. There was a light citrus presence that was non hop derived without the requisite bitterness. The also non hop derived floral aspect is still there. Light grain presence, light saison yeast presence, light woody presence, light tartness without being sour. Everything finds that levity aspect while conveying a unique batch of characteristics and flavors. Its a neat little grissette foray into a subgenre of saison.
Kind of struggling to wrap my head around the idea that someone would think this is like a lambic.

A - Pours a clear Golden colour with a large head that dies quickly
S - A bit of funk, tartness sour apple and Belgian yeast
T - Grassy sour tones and actually authentic Belgian with the horse blanket and bitter sour finish. Really quite nice
M - Light body and medium carbonation
O - A cracking brew thi one with true Belgian character. More of a Lambic than a Saison

750 ml bottle served cold into a pint glass. Thanks to Margaret and Dimple for the gift. Marked as a Grisette
Appearance - Hazy pale golden color, with more yellow than orange. Thin half finger of white head sits on top and fizzles away pretty quick. Moderate amount of visible carbonation.
.
Smell - Interesting but subdued. Combination of tart fruit, think cranberries and rhubarb, some Belgian yeast and the powdery doughy qualities that come with that as well as subtle flowery notes and a hint of wood.
Taste - More sour than expected, although not a sour beer, this caught me by surprise, some flowery and grassy flavours mixed in, a little bit of wood and something akin to flower blossoms and rose hips. Interetsing and different than my expectation.
Mouthfeel - Fairly light bodied, carbonation is soft and tart drying finish.
Overall - Minor Miner was a different brew than I was expecting and reasonably good, the sourness slightly detracted from my overall experience. Still an interesting concept and worth a try or at least a share.
