This ridiculous saison ale was born from the friendship of Mr. Sam Calagione and Mr. Patrick Rue. Dry-hopped with Mosaic, this Brettanomyces-forward ale, brewed in collaboration with our friends at Dogfish Head, was aged in a French oak foeder for seven months.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a bright and clear straw yellow beer topped by a dense and slightly rocky two finger white head that retains well while leaving decent lacing
S: Smells of a ton of orchard fruits, a little citrus, some nice spicy notes, and a little oak. Fairly sweet on the nose.
T: Taste is some orchard fruits and grapefruit rind with a little lemony tartness. Just a slight hint of acidity but there doesn't seem to be much funk going on. It's a young beer though. Nice spice comes in as well with a little white pepper. Touch of oak and a little honey like sweetness. On the swallow there's more citrus, spice, a little grassyness, orchard fruits, and some slight oak.
M: This beer is on the lighter side of medium in body. Carbonation is effervescent and slightly prickly while the beer has a drying finish.
O: Overall this is a really nice beer. It has some good flavors and a nice amount of complexity that make it a really nice beer to enjoy when the weather is a little warmer. Well worth a try if you can find it or if it makes another appearance.
