Here's the buzz on this one: We added copious amounts of local Temecula wildflower honey - or should we say "hunny" - to a blend of our barrel-aged sour blonde ale and our barrel-aged saison. The result is good. Beary good.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a deep golden orange that's slightly hazy. The beer is topped by a dense and slightly rocky two finger white head which retains well and fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells of tart lemons and slight funk with a little minerality and grape skin
T: Taste is slight tartness up front with a little honey sweetness, slight funk, hint of chalkiness, and a touch fruity with a little peppery spice. On the swallow this one has a little more tartness and funk with some slight toasted bread and cracker malt with some slight lingering funk with a little honey. Really nice toasty wheat note toward the end.
M: This beer has a moderate amount of body with a fairly creamy feel on the palate. Carbonation is effervescent without being over the top while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall this was really nice. Interesting blend and fairly approachable with a nice amount of complexity. Good influence from both beers in the blend and well balanced. It'll be interesting to see how this one changes over time. It's worth a try if you can find it.
