Foeder-aged saison ale with Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena
Field Horse was inspired by a trip to alicante region of Spain, where the horses work hard, but play hard too. After a hard days work they'll treat themselve to sweet pomegranates, and you'll definitely want to do the same with this barrel-aged blended saison. Treated with pomegranate and lemon vebena this saison is rerishinfly funky but balanced out with the sweeetness of pomegranate and hints of lemon and herb.

750mL bottle (no packaging date evident) into a tulip. Pours a clear copper color with a 1-finger head.
Aroma is tart and oaky, somewhat reminiscent of a Flanders oud bruin. Sweet pale and caramel malts, wild yeast, slightly acidic.
Taste is gently sour, more acid, balance by a subtle malty sweetness. Lemon juice. More oak.
Mouthfeel is crisp, body on the light side of medium. Finishes dry. Drinkable.
Overall a refreshing sour/wild/saison.

Burnt orange with slight haze and quickly dissipating one finger white head. Nose is full of barnyard sour funk with pomegranate, white grapes, and a hint of vanilla. Taste follows the nose and opens with a nice pop of pomegranate, lemon, grape, and sour funk that folds into a smooth yet carbonic vanilla and mineral notes. Body is light to medium with medium carbonation. Ends long with a lingering mineral bite and hints of fresh fruit. Overall a very nice sour saison from the Bruery that features all the ingredients well.
