Chartreuse and rum barrel-aged tart saison with pineapple, lemon zest, almonds, and rose petals
Although shipwrecked, this monk happily found his way to The Bruery, offering up his gifts and gatherings. This tart saison ale was brewed with pineapple, lemon zest, almonds, and rose petals then aged in Chartreuse and rum barrels for sweet fruit and citrus notes balanced with herbal spice character. True to Terreux fashion, you can expect some funk from this monk.

750 ml bottle, 2021 vintage, looks like the bottling date is 05/28/21. Served in a Teku, the beer pours a slightly hazy dark gold color with about a half inch white head that fizzled away quickly. Not much lacing at all. I like the aroma, it smells like pineapple, rum, lemon zest, apple and some floralness. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some herbs, oak, funk and a general citrusy flavor. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a tasty tart saison, definitely worth trying if you're into tart and/or citrusy brews!
