750 ml bottle poured into a tulip

A- Black with a small tan head.

S- Roasted coffee, some dark chocolate, brett/funk, tart blueberries, oak.

T- Roasted malts/coffee, dark chocolate, blueberries, oak, some tartness and funk from the brett.

M- Smooth, medium to full body.

O- A different take on a Russian Imperial Stout. Kind feel like the base and the blueberries and brett clash a little. Not a bad beer, but he base beer is better.

Pours black with a finger of khaki-colored foam on top. Fair retention for the head, with no lacing left behind. Aroma is of blueberry with a hint of sour, funk to it. Roasted malts are present, but clearly playing second chair to the blueberry. Flavor profile is a sour, funky blueberry note supported by a robust, roasted malt. Mouth feel has a little fizz to it, but is otherwise smooth. It has a medium-thick consistency. Overall good. It's blueberries delivered in a sour, funky, black beer. The brett used in this beer is not hidden.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 750mL bottle.
