Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a cola color with a small head. Smell is of roasted malts, toffee. Taste follows the aroma, a touch of chocolate, plenty of alcohol. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is an interesting and pretty good beer.

A curiously intriguing combination. Pours a hazy dark ruby red with creamy head. Funky aroma. Unique flavor. Heat from alcohol upfront gives way to a tart flavor followed by imperial stout bitterness. Light mouthfeel considering the combination. Overall, funky, unique, intriguing are some of the descriptors I’ll use for this. Definitely worth a try!

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours a very dark brown - almost black. The nose is a nice mix of toffee from the barleywine and chocolate/roasted malts from the stout. The taste is excellent. Again, definitely picking up both styles, but here it's more the stout that comes through. Big roasted malts, charred wood, burnt toffee, leather, tar, and a slight hint of dark fruit. Great beer!

On draft at brewpub. It's a blend of RIS and Barleywine

Dark brown in color, ruby highlights, tan head. Aroma of chocolate and toffee. Taste is similar, mildly boozy. Medium bodied.
