Pale cloudy yellow under an abundant pillowy whitish head. Subtle but tasteful varietal of hops. Gingerly halting texture which progresses into a smooth fizz on the back of the tongue. Quick to arrive calm from the modest 5%. Evenly balanced and tasty. Semi dry finish.

A thanks to the incredible woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a pale golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, tropical fruits. Taste is grapefruit, mango, light malts, highly refreshing. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

12oz can purchased from the fridge as part of a mix-a-six pack for $2. Canned on 7/26/21, so this is exactly one month old.

Look: Very frothy out of the can. For a pale ale, this is pretty hazy. It has a bright lemon yellow color, nicely translucent. Half of a pinky finger of fluffy white head sticking around. Very nice lacing.

Smell: Very nice juicy citrus aromas mixed with a bit of grassy and green bell pepper notes. Notes of mango and papaya.

Taste: Very refreshing. It's slightly malty and juicy up front with nice grapefruit flavors, and has a nice bitter finish that lingers just long enough before it leaves your palate dry to crave another sip. The woody chinook in the finish is nice. There are a lot of peppery notes coming through on the finish also. Actually, the finish is very reminiscent of grapefruit pith and the resinous essential oils from the grapefruit rind.

Feel: Fluffy mouthfeel. Light to medium body. Crisp and refreshing.

Overall: I have liked just about everything that I have had from 2SP. I like this too; it could be a go-to pale ale. Honestly, I don't know if I would guess that this is a pale ale if I had tasted this blind. It tastes very much like an IPA. I'm not saying good or bad. I suppose it could be a good thing if you like a very hoppy pale ale. Or it could be a bad thing if you want a more malt-forward or balanced pale ale. To me, there are definitely times when this kind of pale ale is good and needed. At 5% ABV, it has a high degree of flavor for its size.

Back from a tap behind the bar, a pint came forth. This may be one of the palest pale ales. Not to mislead, it's opaquely cloudy, just a full out blond in color. The modest head is white. It's hard to pick up any defining aroma. Be not concerned. There is a poignant sharp hop bitterness from start to finish of the taste. Probably not even attempting a malty contrast, the body is still good. The receding level of the liquid leaves beautiful glass lacing. In this one, the hops shine. Bitterness, with reminders of pine and a tartness with hints of lemon seem the closest definition of its taste. It's consistent from start to finish, although the best hint of the malt is at the end. Still, it breaks cleanly and mostly bitter. This brings a big hop taste with a relatively low ABV. There are times that's ideal.

Very tasty light crisp beer. Great citrus scent and taste but the lower ABV makes it easier to drink. Has a great frothy mouthfeel and nice bitter finish. I drank from the 16 oz can and enjoyed it very much. Disappointing that I had only picked up a single can. Will get more in the future.

Bright yellow in color with a hazy, unfiltered appearance. Poured with a tall, creamy, bright white foam good retention. Fruity aromas of melon, pineapple and mango with malt beneath. Medium light bodied with medium light carbonation and lush, creamy smooth feel. Fruity and citrus flavors, pineapple and melon with light spicy notes. Medium light bitterness through the middle followed by earthy, spicy notes and mellow, bitter pine hops. Finished semi-dryly with herbal and bitter pine hop aftertaste that quickly tapers. Fantastic look and feel. Fruity and malty flavors are evenly balanced by the delayed hip bitterness. Very tasty and easy.

Par for my goofy course - I was focused on beers from Sterling Pig (Media, PA) & 2SP (Aston, PA), initially thinking that they were in the same city! Aston is only six (6) miles from Media, which my have led to my CANfusion, but I spent the day alternating between the two. I left off at the end of the night with 2SP's Bellcracker, an ADIPA & so I decided to pick back up with Sterling Pig's ADIPA. I am CANtinuing to run through my backlog of 2SP beers at this point.

From the CAN: "Unfiltered Citra*Simcoe*Columbus*Centennial*Chinook"; "Drink Fresh Store Cold"; "Everything we CAN't drink we CAN!"

This is an excellent operating philosophy & one deserving of a Crack! of the vent to begin the CANebration. I started with a slow, gentle C-Line Glug but it quickly became clear that this was a hazy beer. Uh oh, a CANtradiction in terms! It allowed me to go a bit more heavy-handed, causing it to form two-plus fingers of desne, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with excellent retention. Color was a lightly-hazy Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4). Nose smelled of old skool grapefruit & pine! They could have called this an AIPA instead of an APA without any CANplaint from me. Yum. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste beCAN with a pronounced grapefruit citrusy bitterness, rind, pith, peel & all! Wow. It slowly subsided, allowing the cool pine mintiness to come forward & be CANted. I miss this sort of thing in the face of the Tropical AIPA onslaught. 8=( Finish was cool, dry, bitter & just what the doctor ordered. YMMV.
