Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Dark pour... nearly black with big foamy mocha colored head. Lots of retention and great lacing.
S: Mocha and coffee. Lots and lots of coffee... lighter roast and sugars.
T.F: Just like it smells. Loads of coffee up front. Big time roast... burned sugars and espresso. A bit of cocoa... faint vanilla creamer, and more coffee. Some acrid/bitterness to the roast to balance the sweet. Medium bodied and smooth/creamy.
O: A well executed coffee stout. Certainly delivers the Wawa Java and it's a solid beer to boot.

Poured from 16oz can into pint glass in February 2022. There was a code stamped on the can, but I could decipher any date from the code. I drank this about 2 weeks after buying it.
Appearance: Very dark black with a two finger high tan/brown head. Head thins out to a thin covering, and leaves only a little lacing on the glass.
Smell: Strong aroma of roasted coffee as soon as the can was opened. Also, some chocolate, and caramel aromas. Not much hop citrus aroma.
Taste: There is an interesting combination of flavors. There is a very strong coffee flavor, not surprisingly. Also, some chocolate and vanilla, along with some smoky roasted malt flavors. There is some bitterness from hops. The coffee flavor dominates the aftertaste. There is a medium alcohol presence that matches 6.7% on the can.
Mouth-feel: Thick, but with a smooth and creamy body.
This is a good Coffee Stout, and it has a variety of flavors that adds some complexity to the beer, but the coffee dominates. It is very smooth and enjoyable to drink. I would buy this again, and would like to try their Bourbon Barrel-aged version.

Nice dark stout with foam
Definitely strong coffee and chocolate aroma. It reminds me of a fresh cup mixed with a scoop of hot cocoa and that’s pleasing.
Nothing bad in the up front taste. Pretty heavy on the coffee. Overwhelms a lot of the mocha. A lot of hops here. Probably should be a porter. Honestly it’s only on the back end that it’s evident this is a stout.
The bitterness is too big. A heavy-medium here.
I don’t dislike it but, now that I have tried it, I don’t need to again.

A- Black with a two finger mocha head
S- Roasted coffee, dark chocolate, some dark fruits, hints of caramel malts.
T- Roasted coffee, dark chocolate, some dark fruits, touch of caramel malts.
