Notes via stream of consciousness: I could smell the strawberry as I was pouring this which is great considering that it's actually made from real strawberries. Oddly I'm not getting a lot of the Bavarian yeast character in the nose though. It's in the taste for sure along with plenty of banana, clove, spicy phenols, and even vanilla. It's not that bitter but the sweetish and wheaty malt is balanced, and along with a delicate acidity it finishes mainly dry with strawberry, spiciness, and clove lingering. The appearance is as you would expect, very hazy and golden beneath a head of white, but the head retention and lacing are lacking. That's at least partially due to the standard carbonation level that they've used. This is around 2.5 volumes but most hefeweizens are 3 or more. I can forgive them for that though as it can be difficult to pakage highly carbonated beers, and the lower carbonation level still works here. It's a different kind of beer, which is interesting, and it's quite charming. If I can get any more of this it'll make a great summer beer.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a light brown color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is full of sweet strawberries. Taste is wheat, strawberries are present but much more subdued than in the aroma. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an interesting and decent beer.
