$4.99 @ Total Wine & More, Claymont, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: So what is this? It's a hazy IPA in collaboration with the Delco Skatepark Coalition. The Dead Milkmen are mentioned on the label and I wonder if there's some connection. Dave was my first cousin until he shuffled off his mortal coil. So sad. Anyway, it's poured a hazy light golden body beneath a full head of white foam. The aroma has some mintiness to it which is nice. There's also some mineral, lemon/lime, white grape and sweetish malt. On to the taste... everything found in the nose remains with some added apple, varied herbs (rosemary, perhaps some sage), and dull passion fruit. The malt is loaded with oats but I can't tell if there's any wheat in there. I'm guessing it's Pilsner and oats but it could be basic 2-row as well. The bitterness is kept in check but the spicy and herbal character dries it and cools it in the finish. I like it; it's a little bit different. In the mouth it's medium bodied but it feels fuller because of all of the extra proteins, and it's quite smooth. The head held up well and it's left solid sheets of lacing behind earning it a 4 out of 5. I don't know what else to say, this is a somewhat unique and really well done hazy IPA.

Always fun to try new beers from 2SP. Picked up a four pack of these 16 oz cans and enjoyed fresh this winter. This is an easy to drink hazy - not strong flavor. Has a good mouth feel but lacks the citrus flavor to make it pop.

Draft, straight pint glass.
Just not my style. New England hazy IPA. It’s fine. Not overpowering, but all hops, definitely citra strong, but decent hop finish.
