2SP Brewing Co. "610"
$6/pint at the brewery on 13 April 2024
Notes: Typical appearance. Good head retention and lacing that may or may not be better as I'm tasting from a bar glass, although they do seem to do a good job with washing them. The aroma is mild to moderate with a delicate maltiness, gently phenolic notes, and some distant spiciness. The taste is lightly spicy but otherwise a fairly standard witbier. The wheat comes through. It's moderately bitter, a hint acidic, and overall nicely balanced with the spices helping to round it and bring it home dry. In the mouth it's medium to medium-light in body and crisp. I think it's really quite well done across the board in nailing down the style but there's nothing unique about it that could take it to another level.
