Enjoyed from the brewery in a growler---served in a snifter. This nice dubbel pours a medium dark reddish amber with a light head of off white foam that dissipates to a thick ring and decent lacing. Nose of fresh biscuit, sweet candy malt, moderate alcohol astringency, and subtle Belgian spice. Flavors follow the nose with candy malts dancing around a light yellow raisin and fresh bread note that has a delicate light spice of coriander on the back. Finish is sweet with good carbonation, lightly prickly and warming on the back. A solid offering. Could use a touch of extra yeast to give it a nice lift, but all in all a very nice brew from the west si-eeeddd.
