I had this beer on-tap in a weizen glass at the brewery in Vienna.

Appearance: dark gold hue with a moderate haze — it’s darker than I think of weizen typically being — with a thick head of ivory foam atop.

Smell: light what malt with kind of this light acidic character. There’s a little bit of a phenolic clove aroma but it’s light.

Taste: wheaty malt flavor but with an almost-tart edge to it. Definitely more on the clove side of the weizen spectrum than the banana side. Not too bad, but there’s this slightly hard edge to it.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: not too bad, really, but not what I personally am looking for in a good weizen.
