This spring seasonal comes out a hazy amber gold under a luxuriously creamy two finger beige head that lingers long and generates beautiful sheets of lace. The nose is fresh and slightly sweet of caramel - very enticing. The mouth is quite prickly and slightly sticky. The taste is very nicely hopped, with espresso bitter from the start, chased by a more coniferous sap sensation. The malt is a bit hard to find at first, then completely overwhelmedas the pine notes emerge. Not for the faint of heart, this is a true connoisseur's brew. Definitely worth having more than one.
