On draught at the brewery.
Amber/tea colored, with a dense head, extreme retention, thick heavy curtain lacing.
Dry malt, hints of black tea, leafy, pleasant hops profile, balance leans towards bitterness on the finish.

Poured from the can into a nonic(k) pint glass.
Muted copper red and slightly hazed, with a good amount of fine rising carbonation. Real light khaki colored head that is nearly white, with two fingers of suds and a nice little bit of lacing and a simple but thick collar.
Nose is a bit of spicy caramel, touching a hint of alcohol heat strangely. Aroma seems fairly straightforward even a little touch of fruity cherry as well which is kind of interesting.
Palate seems to hint from the nose nicely. Caramel light with a steely like resolve in the mid palate. Twinging red berried fruit that's almost pith tannic and bitter. Body is just a little light but not terribly as the flavors do manage to carry.
Interesting take on an Irish ale and a little memorable even. Has some real potential to be exceptional with a little bit of tweaking.
