Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned Jan 4th 2019.
Minimal head creation, a little low for a standard IPA making only a little over a finger in height and an off white color. Good lacing and a big crowned puck, but not much retention for a non existent head. Body color is relaticely clear, very pale amber in appearance, with some nice looking carbonation.
Very surprising hop aroma. Lots unique hop flavors on the nose that run quite varied. Thick earthy tones, to a floral like sweetness, mix up nicely. Real sticky dank tropical in the mix as well. Some nice caramel malt sweetness makes a good balance also.
Palate is quite a bit unusual. Good amounts of bitterness with a large stinky amount of resin. Finishes quite bitter with thick oils and a real earthy blast. Runs a bit hot on the palate, with the hops dominating just a bit too much in bitterness. There is some neat sweet almost tropical exotic qualities going on also.
Some neat hop blends and makes for a distinct IPA, but runs just a hair too bitter, patricularly on the finish, and just a bit overly complicated.
