Dark mahogany with no head. Big dark fruit/raisiny malty aroma and flavor. Boozy ! OK balance - definitely leans pretty sweet. Medium bodied with a sweet warm malty finish. It’s a’ight. 3.67.

Poured a dark brown body with minimal head and lace. The aroma has chunks of caramel and toffee malts with hints of dark fruits, notably figs and dates (possible raisins). For such a malty, thick-bodied and boozy (ABV wise) beer, it is real easy to drink (read: dangerous sipper) and quite enjoyable. Overall, the beer is sweet as I get caramel, toffee, figs, raisins and at one point I swear I got chocolate but I doubt it is in there. The lack of balance with the hops, as the hops barely make an indent into the sweetness, is not a detraction in my opinion and a real enjoyable, sweet beer.

This was served on tap @ The Veil. They stated that it was leftovers from "barreling" that was served "fresh". All I can say is I cannot wait to try this beer after proper aging in barrels. It pours deep, slightly reddish brown with small tan head that doesn't last long. Aroma of toffee, caramel, fig, raisin, other dark fruit notes, malt, English yeast esters. Flavor follows with more caramel and a slight toasted/ biscuit note. Booze is detectable but not harsh in the slightest. The feel is med+, which will increase with time in the barrels. Carbonation is low and on point. I do feel slightly teased with this one as I did with Sleeping forever.. and left yearning for the BA versions.. but great job guys.
