Daddy's Home is our collab with our friends Other Half Brewing Co. Clocking in at 10.6% this Triple IPA is a beast! For 10.6%, the alcohol is dangerously hidden. Super juicy, and not overly sweet. Hopped intensely with Citra, Galaxy, and Simcoe. Aromatics of passionfruit, bright melon, dank grapefruit.

Copenhagen 12/5 2024. 47,3 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. A faded and blurry family picture on the can.

Pours opaque hazy, golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is fairly intense with a potent sweet odor of overripe tropical fruit with a hint of decay. Subtle yet distinct scent of citrus fruit. Mango, pineapple and passion fruit. Sweet liquor. Grapefruit and tangerine.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is intense with a strong fruity sweetness followed by a medium strong, zesty bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingering. Finish is rather dry.

Potent and well-balanced and pretty light for a beer holding a ABV of 10,6.

Thanks again Kirb for sharing. Pounder can into a snifter appears a hazy copper color with white head that fades fast.

The nose is vegetative hops blending to something like canteloupe than finishes with an herbal and pine scent.

The taste is pine-like upfront than quite vegetative and solvent.

This is a full bodied brew with modest carbonation. Like the other veil ipa can opened on this night the major characteristic was quite vegetative and not pleasant. Not sure if thats similar hop usage or if their strain if yeast is making that but I dislike it.

just straight up alcohol burn/booze with a bunch of hop bitterness... granted, middle of summer isn't a ideal time to drink beers this big but I couldn't even finish 4oz of it.

Poured into a teku pint. Bottom of can says 08/16/2016.

A- Pours a hazy medium amber color with a full inch of off-white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a half sheet of surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves small clots behind.

S- Semi-pungent hop aroma with lots of juiciness but also some dank pine. Notes of grapefruit, orange and peach.

T- Resinous hop flavor with some assertive bitterness and citrusy hop character that has a borderline tart quality to it. Extremely smooth for the high ABV. There's a slight malt sweetness but overall it's quite dry.

M- Super sharp and quite dry. Medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the lighter side.

O- Veil continues to impress me with their hoppy offerings. They harness all that's great about an IPA and make it so damn drinkable at the same time.
