We are super stoked on this one. Probably one of, if not THE best IPA (standard IPA, not DIPA) we've ever produced. Hopped intensely with Simcoe, Mosaic, and Columbus. We also added a bunch of organic orange juice to the kettle. The intent wasn't to be an orange juice bomb, but it is incredibly juicy!

Taster flight at the Bridge & Tunnel. Hazy orange golden pour, sturdy white head. Hoppy aroma brings a lot: grassy, tropical, citrus. Taste gets a bit sticky adding light dank notes and savory accents.

Picked this up when I was at The Veil two summers ago, as the date on the bottom of the can read 8/27/18. This was one of the better beers that I sampled there and it was just as enjoyable now, even though I took quite a while to get around to it. Not a one-dimensional juice bomb, this had a nice, subtle complexity to it that took a while to come out as this beer fully warmed up.
This had the look of a juice bomb as it poured golden, hazy, and a bit muted in hue. Tons of lively head topped it off as the can nearly burst before I cracked it open. Scattered sections of lacing lingered as I worked my way through this without any rhyme or reason to them. Tons of orange juice, tropical fruit, and dank hops in the nose as the taste was much slicker and grassier than I first was led to believe. A herbal undertone took hold with some scallion and onion coming into the mix as I sipped this, with weed and deep white chocolate giving this the depth that this beer needed. Not too tangy or slick, the citrus was toned down in favor of the hops, as they meshed nicely with each other.
Not a lot of booze in this one and even less malt as this felt like vegetable juice more than anything else by the time I finished it off. Not like New England IPA's from Tree House and Trillium, this was much spicier and overripe than other examples of the style that I've gotten my hands on. This one crept up on me but it would be a beer that I'd want again, just to see if it was as good the second time around!

On tap:
Cloudy but not thick-looking, decent whaot froth typical of these oat/wheat NEIPAs. Some lacing, more spotty as I drink.
Nose is grains mixed with grapefruit pith, citrus juice, a hint of tropical. Feel is a little lighter and not quite as smooth as the better (in this category) NE IPAs. Little prickly, even.
Oat/wheat grainy note gets backed up by dry grapefruit pith, grapefruit/tangerine pulp, and a slight earthy herbal note. The last could be more of the grain bill coming out. Light back end bitterness is slightly woody.
Not too juicy, not too bitter. Falls into that near APA version of a NE IPA that slowly grows a little more nuanced with warmth. Raw oat rubber band also builds up, and that’s not my favorite sensation, which knocked the rating down a notch.

Poured a light, yellow-orange body with good head and lace. Aroma is citric and reminds me of orange juice. Sweet, bitter, the orange aspect of the acidic hops is prevalent with a clean finish. Short review but basically another sweet and bitter NEIPA that is enjoyable.
