Unloved is an 11% Imperial Oyster Stout made with oysters from Tangier Island Oyster Co. Extremely full bodied, dark chocolate, coffee, fudge, with a subtle salty/briney finish. This beast turned out rad!

Appearance: Pours pitch black with a swirl of film that develops and fades; leggy but no lacing
Smell: Roast, soy sauce, brine, chalky chocolate, tobacco and cherry
Taste: Soy sauce and brine merge with the chalky Baker's chocolate flavors; a bit of roast, in the middle, and a cherry tobacco element that emerges in the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low carbonation; some warmth in the gullet
Overall: An interesting development in the flavor profile after a couple of years in the bottle

Poured a blackish body with no head. The aroma is mostly roasted chocolate malt and the beer's taste follows suit. A bready, sticky feel with dry finish and hints of dark fruit are underneath a mostly roasted chocolate taste and the oysters don't seem to really have an effect on the beer other than a really dry finish (at least the booze is well-hidden).

Poured from a 32oz crowler into tulip glasses:
Pours dark brown/black and opaque. Nice little khaki colored head on top, which dissipates after a couple minutes. No visibility at all through the beer. Smells nice too....very little brine/oyster/saltiness, but lots of chocolate notes. Soft, and very sweet smelling. Taste is similar to the smell. Very sweet, but also a little salty as well, giving it that soy-saucy flavor that Dark Lord is known for. That being said, it's not too bad at all and it remains super drinkable, even at 11%. Very, very fudgy and decadent. The feel is also super soft and mouth-coating. I probably could've used a touch more carbonation in this one. Overall, though, its a damn good oyster stout.

Pours a deep black/brown with very thin tan head that drops out quickly. Aroma of big chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, caramel, toffee.. Flavor follows with a decent amount of sweetness and a slight briny finish. Very good. The feel is full and creamy, with very light carbonation, which is near perfect for this beer imo. Overall, Unloved is the best oyster stout that I've ever had. Great job.

6oz pours a deep, dark brown borderline black with a small tan head that leaves a golden tan hue on the glass as it disappears and light lacing. Smells of big chocolate and a little roasted coffee. Taste is huge on the sweet chocolate with some coffee and a little saltiness. Mouthfeel is really great. It's got some body too it, almost chewy but not overdone with a decent carb. This is overall pretty fantastic. On the ceiling of my sweet preference but still very drinkable for me. The best oyster stout iv'e had.
