The beer has a good look to it. The beer is a reddish brown with a hint of purple and opaque. The smell is not as intense as is expected from the style. It mainly consists of a clean yeast smell with a bitter floral hop note. The malt notes of caramel and toffee are the strongest ones in the smell and the taste but aren't as intense and are surprisingly weak such that it resembles like it's from a dubbel instead of a quad. It has a slightly bitter herbal finish. The beer has a medium body and finishes a little sticky. Overall, it's a decent beer but falls short compared to other ones of the style.

Disappointing. No spiciness, which allows the candy and brown sugar flavors to be too pronounced. A beautiful beer with a light brown one-fingerntjat dissipates quickly. I’m going to let this beer rest in the cellar.

Looks terrific, nice big beige head with nice lacing over this mahogany beer. Nose does nothing for me really as maybe light hay is all I can find but the taste more than makes up for it. Up front it's sweet and sugary with a tad side of grassy but as it unfolds there is solid caramel, little nuttiness and the booze kicks in leaving an alcohol laden aftertaste

Quality beer, bit too sweet and not as complex as most quads. A slight tinkering could push this from a solid enjoyable beer to a stand out addition to the veil line up.

At The Sovereign on Draft. The beer pours a nice dark hazy amber color with a generous head and slight lacing. The aroma has vanilla, caramel, spices and wildflower honey hints. The taste is a very well balanced mix of vanilla, caramel, spices and wildflower honey flavors. A full bodied beer with a nice amount of carbonation. A very well made, very well balanced beer.

Poured a reddish-tinted dark brown (if that makes sense) with minimal head and lace. Aroma has dark fruits, mostly prunes, with notes of yeast. Smooth, clean, yeast helps out, has touch of caramel/toffee malt with touches of nuttiness and a puckering prune taste. Not a bad beer at all but not what I expect in a Belgian quad.

Can. Chestnut brown body with crimson highlights. Candy sugar, cotton candy, sweet Belgian yeast. Medium bodied and spritely on the palate. Not up to par with the authentic examples of the style. Cloying. Needs tweaking.
