This is a collaboration with DFH, Double IPA with Peppercorns added.
16oz can dated 3/20/18. A murky tropicana color like 120 minute almost. Nice finger of creamy head forming and stabilizing at about a fingernail height.
Nose is very faint, but I get some candied orange and peppercorn with slight grapefruit peel here.
Flavor is very strongly herbal, paired with punching flavors of bitter ruby grapefruit, bitter orange peels, and woody pine resin. Peppercorn is faint, but detectable, lots of palate destroying resins remain.
Feel is quite carbonated yet retains that nice creamy NE IPA feel.
Overall, I don't think Veil makes a bad beer, but this one of their shabbier offerings. Very resiny and herbal, much less fruity. A slight notch above some of the Florida NE IPA's I had that I didn't care all that much for.
