It begins with the now common problematic attempt to empty entirely the contents of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug. The excessive stark white foam produced makes that virtually impossible. Once again, the foam recedes quickly, unevenly and unattractively, leaving irregular and scant glass lacing. Beneath the mess rests a dull and hazy golden-amber liquid. A pleasant earthy aroma of hops and malt are easily had. Its taste has a superficial sweetness that doesn't get readily balanced by the hops. Even with Simcoe hops included, something seems out of whack, almost artificial about the flavor, especially its sweetness and hops with no real bite character. This seems like a rushed product that didn't get its time to mature into a good IIPA. For its style, the ABV is nicely incorporated, but there are no layers, nor nuances here to taste. It's smooth enough for its potency, but this isn't one to savor for its flavor.

Super hazy caution light yellow body with soft, pillowy white head that leaves traces of sticky lacing on the walls of the pint glass.
Aromas include a floral bouquet of citrusy hops, faint alcohol heat.
Juicy, tangy flavor with accents of melon and orange. Medium sweetness with mild to medium bitterness.
Medium body delicate prickly carbinated kick on the back end.
Another solid beer from The Veil.
