Canned 9/9/22 (3 months ago)
Appearance: Pours a nearly completely clouded (5% clarity) medium orange and yellow color with a strong white head. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, orange citrus rind, tangerine, with some citrus and pine notes. (3.75)
Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of orange citrus, orange citrus rind, then some pine and citrus spice behind it. (4.00)
Feel: Medium to lighter bodied, average carbonation and finishes with some hop burn. (3.50)
Compared to Hop Butcher Mega Bite 12/2022: Pours darker, milder aromas. More tangerine and orange citrus rind. Less tropical pineapple, citrus flower, and orange fruit. More burn and less of a body.
Overall: A decent NEIPA here that probably was better fresh, or hopefully was. Not really soft and all with far too much hop burn. A little too much hop burn here on the palate. Nice juicy flavors though. Still, it tastes like many of the copycat NEIPA that DDH too much and sacrifice the body and mouthfeel.

A - great head but otherwise an ugly cloudy piss yellow beer. 3.75
S - Extreme, beautiful, citrusy, herbal, peppery just a cacophony of hop flavors. 4.5
T - What’s out front. Not sure. I’ll pick the herbal, grassiness followed by the citrusy orangeness. 4.5
MF - medium bodied, dry, but just a bit creamy and smooth. A great balance. 4.5
O - i by no means have had them all, but this is one of the best Veil hoppy ales I’ve had.

Pure milk; pure diced scallions opens into distilled lemon oil + big dank hop pellet; baby food wheat mush, big weedy fresh greenery, tart OJ, hints of pineapple and peach cobbler, ganga waves as it opens, and then more hop stuff; soft.

4 weeks old today. Incredibly vibrating oil nose. Just straight hops squeezed into a beer. Juice comes out more as it opens but stays green in the middle. So ganga-hop-oil! This brewery - and freshness - just wins.

Pale orange juice color, just as cloudy, with a thin white head. Spotty lacing.
OJ, white wine and a hint of nutty herbs in the smell.
It has a more robust taste with fairly strong bitterness. Bitter orange pith stands out, with white wine, grapefruit, stronger smokey herbs and a little chalkiness in the background.
Full bodied, creamy feel with a little fizziness cutting through.
It's a good beer, but the flavors aren't dialed in here to my personal preference. A bit too pithy.
