Headless pours thick for a DIPA with a cloudy, unfiltered orange juice yellow appearance and foamy, complex head that sticks around, leaving spotty lacing retention on the glass. The aroma is similar to West Coast offerings, as the hops bring out the best this beer has to offering. There are a big dose of fruit, tropical and citrus up front including pineapple and grapefruit with a mango and stone fruit sweetness, just a hint of earthiness with grassy, hay finish. For a DIPA, this beer goes down smooth with a light bitterness through the entire sip. Fruity, but not overly malt sweet with an mild onion bite, this is a well balanced and easy drinking beer. My first Veil Brewing experience, excellent! A well crafted and balanced DIPA that competes with many from the West Coast.

Overall just a disappointment from a brewery that has been making great IPA's and DIPA's in the past. With this beer it seems to me that they are trying to live off their reputation.
