There is a somewhat obnoxious degree of hop particulate and hop burn present in this beer so if those are things that put you off you are unlikely to enjoy this. I actually like the hop burn very much, especially with these delicious galaxy hops, so this was a fun one for me. Defines the “hazy” descriptor as this is a true murk-fest. Medium body and carbonation, packing huge amounts of flavor for a 6% abv ipa. Nothing watery about this one. I got a single but would definitely grab a four pack in the future if I come across some fresh cans.

On tap at NW Growlers in Portland Oregon. I assume there was a drop of Veil stuff here in town, as I've been seeing their beers around town of late.
The beer pours the expected hazy amber gold cooler with very good head retention and lacing. This beer looks great. Unfortunately, this was to be as good as things would get with this beer.
On the nose, I get tropical fruit and orange citrus, but it's not as prominent as I was expecting, given some of the reviews I've seen for this beer. On the palate, this beer is a disappointment. There's some initial tropical fruit, but it drops off pretty quickly. Someone mentioned an aspirin component to the flavor profile in a previous review, and I completely get that. The finish is dry and frankly, there's not much to it. There's some bitterness, which almost seems excessive given the lack of malt body up front. Alcohol is actually a bit more noticeable than I was expecting, given the relatively low abv in this beer. So drinkability is no better than fair.
Pretty unimpressed by this beer, and it makes me wonder if the beer just didn't travel well from Virginia. At NW Growlers a 10 ounce glass of this stuff cost me $7, and NW Growlers is renowned for their gentle pricing. So not only is this IPA pretty mediocre, it's over priced at that. While this isn't awful, it's not something I would ever order again. No one else should either.

Another outstanding effort from the Veil. Pours a light yellow color that is completely opaque. You get 2 full fingers of white fluffy head that quickly dissipates into the beer leaving traces on the glass. Smells of citrus. Orange, lemon, etc. Taste is as it looks - creamy and thick with light citrus. Not as heavy as White Ferrari but still thick and creamy. Another juice bomb. Clean and crisp on the finish. Well worth a try. Only 6% abv so it is an easy drinker. Not a lot of pine tar hops to put you off.

The beer pours a good looking creamy white head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is a nice looking cloudy lemon yellow color that looks.
The smell is pretty good. It has a good mix of orange and grapefruit with notes of pine and lemon. The grapefruit seems to be the strongest and mixes with a nice lemon and orange while the pine notes come out more in the finish.
The taste is pretty good and fairly bitter. The grapefruit and lemon notes come out upfront but moves more towards a dry, grassy pine note and grapefruit rind.
The feel is good. It has a medium body and good dry finish to it. It has a moderate carbonation feel to it.
Overall, this is a good fruity and bitter beer.

16oz can poured into a tulip
A- pours a hazy yellow-orange color with a one-finger foamy white head that has short retention before settling to a ring around the glass
S- tropical hops on the nose with notes of citrus rind, passionfruit, guava & peach
T- juicy guava and passionfruit lead the way, followed by ripe peach, mango, melon & grapefruit. Just a hint of sweet malt on the finish, otherwise the juicy tropical notes continue throughout
M- medium murky body with moderate carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel and finish
O- super drinkable and loaded with juicy tropical notes throughout, one of the most flavorful NE IPA's at an abv this low
