Can't remember how I obtained this can but it was probably via a trade. Dated 9/03/18, this was a nice beer with a wonderful sweetness to it but the peanut butter was just a bit more recessed than I would have liked. It was there but almost ended up getting lost in everything else that was going on...

Of course, the pour to this was quite dark but there wasn't any head or lacing to be seen once everything settled down and I took my first sips. Lots of peanut *oil*, chocolate, cupcake, and some peanut butter in the nose as the taste was quite slick and greasy for something that should have had more lactose and body to it. This tasted more like a cupcake or something I would have had at a birthday party while growing up than a Double Peanut Butter beer as this needed more nuttiness and body to it. Hints of raspberry juice and cake batter lingered once this fully warmed up but this beer ended up being a disappointment for me, given it's moniker and what it was classified as on here...

The booze was well-hidden and the body was moderate, but indiscernible at the same time. This wasn't a bad beer so much as it was just hard to classify - both on this site and in my mind. No, the can wasn't fresh but it didn't taste outdated and there wasn't any sediment in it. It was a fine dessert beer but not sweet or sugary enough to be a true English Sweet / Milk Stout. Fine to have once for the novelty...

Poured from a 16oz can into a tulip. Acquired in a trade.

Pours a deep black inky body with a fizzy brown head. Peanuts and peanut oils coat the glass. Peanut residue shows up once it's settled.

Aromas are straight peanut butter cup, milk chocolate. Taste is liquid peanut butter cups, peanut butter twinkies, and milk chocolate. Rich body, thick and decadent. Easy sipper.

This is liquid peanut butter cups and blows away most other peanut butter beers I've had. Not sure why this doesn't get a higher rating. On par with peanut hornswoggler.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a stemmed goblet.

The pour is pitch black with no head whatsoever and absolutely no lacing.

The aroma brings notes of chocolate cake, vanilla, and roasted peanuts.

The taste follows the nose. Chocolate cake with some vanilla and roasted coffee. Finishes with a faint hint of peanut butter. Definitely doesn't live up to the name.

The feel is medium bodied with almost no carbonation. Very creamy and smooth with a dry finish.

Overall, a pretty good milk stout but also a very disappointing one. This is a "Double Peanut Butter" stout but the PB character is barely present. Still, it's incredibly drinkable for a 7% beer.
