On tap at Other Half Taproom - Buffalo. Pretty sweet and syrupy. Some cinnamon kick and maple finish. Layers but a pastry stout and a good one for that style.

The head is creamy and light brown. The beer itself is a coffee black with some brown hues to it. The smell has a cinnamon forward note that mixes well with a good roast coffee note; underneath is a decent maple syrup note. The taste is much sweeter than the smell with a maple syrup forward note. The cinnamon takes a back seat to the other notes while the chocolate is pretty much buried underneath everything else and comes out more in the finish. The beer has a heavy body with a slightly sticky finish to it. It also has a creamy texture. Overall, an extremely indulgent beer.

375ml bottle poured into a teku
A- pours a black color with a one-finger foamy khaki colored head that reduces to a ring around the edge
S- smells like maple nut goodie candies, plenty of maple, some nutty notes, toasted rye bread, chocolate
T- sweet maple and cinnamon up front, followed by chocolate and a big cinnamon toast note. The finish gives more maple and cinnamon
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a slightly warming finish
O- maple nut goodies mixed with french toast

Poured as a black color no much had or lacing though. The smell of the beer has elements of French Toast to say the least. The taste has a nice amount of maple and cinnamon flavors going on. The feel is smooth and full bodied. Overall it's a pretty good brew!

Appearance: Arrives tar colored with a thick well-tanned head; good retention and splashy lace
Smell: Maple syrup and cinnamon sugar top the French Toast aromatics; chocolate and vanilla tones round out the profile
Taste: As with the aroma, the French Toast toppings arrive first and dominate, with the chocolate and vanilla emerging; the finish is sweet but not cloying; the rich, bready malt underpins
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation
Overall: I was a little concerned that the sweetness here would be cloying but it is well balanced; one six ounce pour is enough, however
