From a 16oz can, dated 10/smudge/18. Served in a spiegelau-style IPA glass.
Pours a hazy, pale lemonade colour with two fingers of soft fluffy head. Retention is just so-so but leaves a thick foamy collar and a few gobs of lacing.
Soft, sweet, flowery nose, lemon sugar cookies.
Taste is sweet and subtly tart, reminiscent of lemon merengue pie. Sweetened lemon and lemon zest, green onion and mint with some spicy, tingly pine. Juicy with low but definitely detectable bitterness.
Feel is juicy, soft and fluffy, a little oily, medium bodied with fine prickly carbonation.
Overall, a really very nice NE-style IPA of the soft, doughy lemony sort.

Appearance: Pours cloudy and straw colored with a thick head; good retention and shards of lace
Smell: Oniony tones complement the lemony pith; passionfruit, lychee and strawberry round out the aromatics
Taste: Strawberry and lychee forward, with lemon and passionfruit developing; rather pithy, through the middle, with the bitter tones melding with the onion, in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A fair amount of bitterness here compared to the typical Veil recipe' a tasty beer despite the onion in the finish
