Canned 11/05/18
Appearance - Pours hazy and straw yellow in color with a white, half finger width head that dissipates rather quickly, leaving a mostly barren surface and a razor thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. Not much for lacing; a handful of small spots pretty much sums it up.
Smell - Lemony or lime citrus with hints of guava, and faint dank aroma.
Taste - Follows the nose. Bright citrusy flavors that evoke thoughts of lime or lemon, fair topical guava, and then a good bit of dank flavor comes through. Not much of a buffer between the two contrasting flavors, making the overall profile a bit disjointed. Finish is light lemon pith and lesser earthy dank flavor.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick, easy drinker before a somewhat dry finish.
Overall - Good, but not great. While I appreciate the bright citrus notes, they don't necessarily mesh well with the dank undertones; maybe it needed a touch of pineapple to tie it all in?
