16.9 oz. bottle from 2018. Poured into Goose Island Black Friday glass and allowed to warm.
L: No head...very unusual. Just a very very tiny ring of bubbles. Beer is very dark brown or black.
S: Dark cherries, roasted malts, molasses or sweet brown sugar, the apple brandy barrel
T: Sweet roasted malts, molasses/brown sugar, dark cherries, Laird's plus some oak. Sweet, but not too much.
F: Fairly full-bodied, very flat (no carbonation). Well constructed and balanced. No real sense of alcohol or alcohol heat at all, which is impressive.
O: Another nice dessert stout from Veil, this one has melded nicely.
