I don’t know of another 7% stout that look or acts like this. It’s straight up opaque. Like, no light gets through this inky goodness. Carb behavior is super weird, and strangely hesitant. It shows up really late after the pour, but decks you in the face with maple.

While many like these flavors, it is very synthetic maple assertive, very little coconut and simply not integrated flavors. Not bad,...just not what one expects.

L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Good lacing.

S: A very nice aroma of coconut, chocolate, malt, coffee, and maple syrup.

T: Tasted of a decent amount of malt (present throughout), some light coffee notes, lots of chocolate, a good shot of maple syrup, and some coconut as well. This is an incredibly well-balanced flavor. The maple syrup and coconut are certainly present, but don't overpower everything else. Quite tasty stuff.

F: A decent amount of carbonation with a warm, smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: A well made and enjoyable stout. Drinkable.
