Can courtesy of my friend DW

Beer lept out of the can, hazy golden color and a pretty monster white head, creamy and lingering.

A very citrusy hop nose, grapefruit, not much in the way of malt - pretty much all hops.

Has a fruity sweetness up front, mostly hops I'm guessing but maybe malt comes into play also. Intense grapefruit and citrus flavors midmouth. Very New England IPA style - hoppy but not sharply bitter in the finish.

Thin to medium body, medium-to-high carbonation. Definitely not a heavy beer - pretty light and spritzy on the tongue. Not astringent despite the hops.

Not really my cup of tea. I can respect that it is well made, but I prefer IPAs with a bit of malt and a bit more back end bitterness.

Served on tap at the Columbia Firehouse in Alexandria, VA. Yellow orange and hazy, with a finger of foam. Lots of hop aromas here, with mandarin orange, grapefruit, and pine coming through. The flavor add a lot of tropical notes, too and crackery malt. Very fluffy feel.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Growlers to Go - Short Pump, poured into a pint glass. Had a yellowish color and a cloudy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.

S: A very nice aroma of hops, citrus fruit, malt, and tropical fruit.

T: Tasted of a bit of malt (mostly in the finish), a good amount of tropical fruit (passionfruit?), a decent shot of hops (not overdone, though), and some citrus (orange, lemon). This is a light, sweet, and likable flavor. It has a nice subtlety about it that makes it endearing. It's not as forceful as some IPAs, but still pretty tasty.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a soft, smooth finish. Light-bodied.

O: A rock solid IPA. Worth a try.
