Interesting idea and way of using lactose in this beer...unfortunately it doesn't quite work out. Pours a beautiful nuclear Tang with a nice head and plenty of lace. Nose has citrus, but it is that lemoncello smell with lots of ethanol. Taste quickly turns to ethanol-laden grapefruit pith, which goes 180 degrees from the creamy creamsicle thing I assume they were going for. Bottom line, this is an expensive dud.

On tap at the Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a creamy and milky looking pastel orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This is gonna be one of those subpar reviews where we just say "oh wow, this ice cream beer with orange and vanilla really smells and tastes like ice cream...and orange!...and oh wow...vanilla, too!" I feel like an amateur, but that's what it is. It's orange creamsicle soft serve, in liquid form, with just a touch of fruity hoppiness on the back end.
This does have a nice creaminess to it, not quite melted ice cream level, but definitely smoothie-ish. It's quite drinkable.
This doesn't really need to exist. It does, though, and I basically enjoyed it.

Vibrant smoothie-orange with close to three fingers of airy yellowed head that are very quick to dissipate, leaving just a few spots of lacing. Would be a looker if not for that mugly head.
Mango, orange, grass and weed in the nose. “Dank” is not an inappropriate description.
Similar flavors in the taste, along with some hard-to-place chewy candy, with tropical fruits and vanilla. The grassy element prevents it from being overly sweet.
Very full bodied, somewhat chewy, with surprisingly little carbonation.
Carbonation could be dialed in better, but worth a try.
