One of those beers you smell from far away as soon as you crack the can...very good sign. Pours like creamy Tang with a smaller head that sticks to everything. Nose is grapefruit and orange along with some everclear like homemade lemoncello. Taste is a lot of orange (orange rind and juice) with mango and, again, a touch of that grain alcohol. Soft mouthfeel. Overall, a pretty great beer with the small caveat it is a little to alcohol-y. Grudgingly worth $5 a can.

I received a can from @vabeerguy in a trade. Canned on 8/6/2019. Poured into a snulip glass. It pours a totally opaque, golden-orange with brown hues, and a creamy, milk-white cap with lots of soapy lacing. On the nose there is orange/tangerine, ripe cantaloupe melon, lemon, a whiff of grapefruit, and some vanilla cream. For such a big ale the flavors are surprisingly delicate. It opens with lots of fresh citrus and ripe melon, along with creamy, oaty sweetness. These tastes blend as well as I've experienced in a TIPA. The bill of Galaxy, Wakatu, Mosaic, Simcoe, BRU-1, and Nelson is complex and adds a lot of flavor without much bitterness. There is no hop burn. The mouth feel is fantastic! Viscous and creamy with moderate carbonation, and it doesn't drink like 11% ABV. "Dangerous" is an overused term but really applies to Color of Blood. Overall, this is one of the best TIPAs I've ever had the pleasure to drink.
