Petalz Fred is another collaboration beer with our friends at Jester King Brewery! It’s a Mixed Fermie™ brewed back in January ‘18 with Texas raw wheat, Virginia corn grits, spelt, and aged whole leaf hops. This version of Petalz was fermented and aged in Danish cherry wine barrels lending incredible impressions of cherry pie, white pepper, and orange blossom. Just enough oak, alcohol, and acid presence makes this one an amazing Farmhouse Ale to enjoy any time with friends or fam.

Presentation: 375mL brown bottle with the bottling date on the label. Served in a lambic glass.
Appearance: The bright white, one finger head fizzles out fairly quickly and leaves behind a foam layer and a lot of lacing in small spots. It's a hazy, radiant, pale straw color that just looks beautiful.
Smell: It starts with a strong, sweet, jarred cherry aroma followed by orange and a funky oak note. There's also some white pepper floating around in there.
Taste: It's a tart, complex fruity flavor that starts with fresh orange pulp and lemon. Then there's cherry and a soft flowery note. It finishes with a touch of wood and hint of peppery spice.
Mouthfeel: It's light, crisp and very refreshing with a bone dry finish. Carbonation is medium-high.
Overall: A beer that strikes a great balance between being very approachable and easy to drink but also offering a lot of complexity as well for more seasoned palates. Just a beauty in every sense.

5% ABV. Farmhouse Ale. Form the brewery: Collaboration beer with @jesterkingbrewery! It’s a Mixed Fermie™ brewed back in January ‘18, 2020 with Texas raw wheat, Virginia corn grits, spelt, and aged whole leaf hops. Look 4.25 - deep golden cloudy hue with a full finger of frothy tan head that quickly dissipates. Smell - 3.75. Notes of wheat, corn with a hint of hops. Fruit especially cherry. Oranges. Faint hint of oak. Taste 4.25 - Little sour with a cherry bite, no ethanol burn, chewy, thick - really different from a typical farmhouse ale. Feel - full and chewy in the mouth. Acidic. Sour on the back end and finish but cherries and oak to balance it out. Overall - 4.25 - quite tasty and easy to drink without getting hammered.
