The beer pours a foamy purple and ruby red head that dissipates very slowly. It actually has some staying power and revitalizes itself every sip. The beer itself is a beautiful clear and deep purple and ruby red color that looks exactly like a dark black cherry. It is extremely beautiful to look at.
The smell is pretty good. It has a nice sweet and tartness that you get from a black cherry but the main note is a strong honey graham cracker. The honey graham cracker note starts up front and is followed immediately by the cherry note.
The taste is very good. The black cherry notes come upfront of the other notes with its sweet and tart notes. There is a bit of an orange hop note in the finish but gets overwhelmed by the cherry and funk note.
The feel is good. It has a light body with a bit of heft to it but not much. The carbonation is tingling from the beginning to the finish.
Overall, a pretty good farmhouse ale and worth getting.
