Copenhagen 17/6 2024. 47,3 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Yellowish can with red face in state of disrepair glaring out at me.
Pours opaque hazy golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as paper thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching cover the surface the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is intensewith a sweet odor of overripe tropical fruit mingling with whiff of fermentation and sweet alcohol. Light citric notes. Mango and passion fruit. Overripe peach. Citrus and lime.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, slightly viscous, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intensewith strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry with boozy touch.
Eminent DIPA. Potent and well balanced.

Can dated 10/25/24, into a wide wine glass.
Pour is a thick, darker orange, very hazy. Foam dissipates quickly but there's a lot of it. Aroma is skunky white grape and dank vegetable matter. Some grapefruit and overripe mango as well. Not too sweet on the nose. Flavor follows nose, with tons of white grape and mango/papaya character. Like a tropical fruit salad with some weedy dankness. Great bitter snap on the end, and a long, smooth finish that builds to a sweet orange flavor as well as oat sweetness. Some spicy flavors as well going with the bitterness. Feel is great, quite lively, but also decently smooth.
Good stuff from the Veil. Not too sweet and much more interesting than just the one tropical fruit note.

Poured from a 16oz can into a spieglau glass
Look: Opaque hazy peach juice with a thick white head.
Smell: Peach O’s, grassy green mango, light touch of malt, and guava.
Taste: Big blast of juicy hops on the attack that bitters out but is revamped with juicy peach o’s flavor. Finish is grassy green mango.
Feel: Clean. Medium bitterness. Soft carbonation. Mild alcohol.
Overall: A good NEIPA for the veil. Good rep of the style but nothing mind blowing. Worth checking out.
