Presentation: 375 mL brown bottle with the bottling date on the back of the label. Served in a tulip-shaped tumbler.
Appearance: The bright white, one finger head goes away almost immediately and leaves behind a thin foam ring and some lacing in small spots. It's a murky, golden color with a slight orange tint.
Smell: It's a fresh, fruit aroma or plum and peaches. It finishes with lemon peel and a beautiful floral scent as well. There are also some musty notes all around of damp wood and hay.
Taste: It's very tart and fruity with strong notes of peach and plum. There's also sharp citrus flavors of lemon and grapefruit. There's a bit of woodsy funk in there too that complements everything else really well.
Mouthfeel: It's medium bodied and smooth with medium carbonation. It never gets cloying and it goes down quite easily.
Overall: The sourness is very evident and might scare some away but it really isn't crazy. It's actually just well executed. A sour beer should be sour. Everything is beautiful, from the looks to the aroma to the taste. Just a great job from The Veil and TRVE.
