10/28/25. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Hazy gold with 2-finger white frothy head with good retention and rings of lacing.
S: Earthy musky hop aromas which are dank-forward but also have melon, pineapple, orange, red grapefruit, and orange black tea.
T: Flavor also earthy and leafy but not overbearing at all with mineral complementing orange, pineapple, and berry with black tea. Plenty of malt sweetness. Bitterness is moderate.
M: Feel is medium body with tacky but full finish.
O: Interesting wet-hopped beer with a lot of aroma and flavor character. I wouldn’t want to drink more than one, but I am glad I got a chance to try it.

Undated can poured into a tulip. Never had a fresh/wet-hopped beer from The Veil, so very curious. Guessing this is 1 to 1.5 months old but not certain.
Gorgeous pour. Bright orange-gold, glowing, and creamy fluid, fully hazy approaching murky but not muddy at all. Big foamy head of bright white with strong lacing. A few swirls brings back a half-finger cap of tight, scoopable foam. Absolute looker.
Truly one of the most unique aroma profiles I've ever experienced on a hazy IPA/IIPA, really changing with each sip/whiff, and it just explodes out of the glass. Starts with a grape/grapevine deep musk that is almost immediately met by big blasts of sweet citrus, orange Lifesaver, and Juicy Fruit gum. Earthy but sugary sweeet, as well, which is an awesome combo. Very dank and grassy, perhaps a little bit of green onion (which I like), but not weedy or hempy at all. There a wee element of old school Vitamin C tablets, which sounds like criticism but is actually a positive as it adds yet another dimension of orange/citrus personality to the nose. Tropical fruits and bright melon. Berry salad. Then back to grapeskins, Welch's grape juice, and a vineous (sp?) pop. Some pine and mineral characteristics notes on the back end, along with a huge dose of sweet floral nectar. I'm amazed here are only two hops involved given how many directions the nose goes on this one.
Flavor profile unfortunately isn't nearly as layered and fascinating (no surprise -- that's often how these go), but once I adjust to the drop off and really assess the taste profile on its own, it's still excellent. Much drier on the tongue, with the orange/citrus aspects less sweet and more sharp, the grape elements flowing through quite crisp and clean, and the grassiness taking center stage with more starchy greenery (maybe a touch of "bite") and less dankness. A little pine resin, some distinct grapefruit, and a mélange of underripe tropical and stone fruits. Very pithy and dry finish. Puckering in a good way, which matches the fresh-hopped style.
The liquid feels a little thin but the coating on the teeth -- and that lasting pucker -- give it a virtual chewiness that is lovely. Nicely carbonated. Definitely not hot or boozy, but you know this isn't a small beer.

Into a wide wine glass, dated 10/28/24.
Pour is a dense, opaque orange with a large head of white foam that sticks to the glass and lasts. Aroma is HUGE. Citrus, dankness, vegetal matter, soft sticky fruit. Flavor follows nose in a huge way. This is the definition of Citra and galaxy. Incredibly dank and vegetal, sweet and juicy with tons of overripe fruit, and finishes with plenty of bitterness. Intense fresh hop brightness as well and a crazy evolution from sweet fruit to citrus rind to skunky plant matter and cannabis. Feel is similarly outstanding, thick and coating, quite smooth and creamy, but not too sticky. Finishes dry and not entirely clean.
The Veil knocked it out of the park with this one. It's a new experience I haven't had before, as fresh hops are hard to find in the south. The depth of flavor is incredible, and although I love the ferrari/miata series, this one is by far the best. Two old-school (relative to my beer journey) hops that I personally love in incredibly fresh fashion, and a perfect beer built to showcase them. I will be buying more tomorrow as soon as I'm off work. I have to.

On tap, pours a hazy yellow-orange. Smell is dominated by an explosion of musky, earthy Citra, along with citrus and tropical fruits. Taste follows, with a super green (in the best way) hop flavor. Nice bitterness in the finish. Fantastic beer.

The beer pours a nice white and foamy head that dissipates fairly quickly while the beer itself is a cloudy yellow color that looks really nice.
The smell is pretty good. It has a good bitter pine note on top of a sweet melon note and white grapefruit. The finish has really good and sweet stonefruit note.
The taste is pretty bitter and good. The main notes are the bitter hop note that covers a good pineapple note.
The feeling is good. It has a heavy body with creamy texture to it.
Overall, a very good beer worth getting while the hops are still fresh and present.
