Munich Dunkel-inspired Lager brewed with Munich, Pilsner, and a touch of chocolate malt. Gently hopped with German Tettnang and Hallertau Mittelfrüh then patiently conditioned at icy temps for just under two months. Klausensteiner exhibits a soft natural carbonation with crisp impressions of toasted bread and chocolate wafer.

The beer pours a nice off-white head with a bit of brown in it. The beer itself is a dark chestnut brown and is clear. It looks really nice.
The smell has a good mix of malt and hop notes. The malt notes consist of a sweet mix of toffee, roasted malt, and a slight caramel note alongside a bready chocolate. The hop notes are earthy and slightly orange mixed with herbal notes. The malt notes come out more than the hop notes when it warms up while the hop notes dominate the smell when its cold.
The taste is very similar to the smell. The malt notes consist of a strong toffee, light caramel, and roasted chocolate in the finish while the hop notes are lightly bitter, earthy, and slightly herbal. The malt notes come out more towards the finish.
The feel is a medium bodied beer with a tingling carbonation and a slightly bready texture to it.
Overall, a pretty good low abv beer worth getting.
