16 oz. can dated 11/28/22
Lots of expectations from an 11%ABV beer from The Veil

Pours a pond murk gold straw color. No floaties or other suspended junk. One finger mixed fine white head; spotty lacing, full ring, sparse surface continents.
Strong waves of grapefruit, onion, orange, lemon, yeast, mosaic cat pee aromas.
Flavors are equally complex: pine, bitter melon, sour pineapple, yes blueberry, blood orange, lemon pith.
Smooth, rich feel, light alcohol heat, bitter but not astringent, bitter aftertaste and dryish finish.
Aroma and flavors are still bright at a month after canning. TIPA that justifies the category.

The beer pours a nice white head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is a cloudy whitish orange color and looks nice.

The smell is delicious. It has prominent orange creamsicle note with a hint of blueberries and a tiny but sharp alcohol note in the finish. There are various bitter hop notes ranging from a strong and bitter pine note that begins to dominate the smell as it warms up. The blueberry comes in the finish while the orange creamsicle goes away.

The taste is good. It has a nice mix of blueberry notes and bitter pine notes upfront with a decent melon in the finish. There is also a slight alcohol note in the finish. There is also a good grapefruit note.

The feel is good. It has a thin feel but heavy body with an acidic bite to it.

Overall, a good and flavorful beer worth getting.

Dank melon, grapefruit, and heavy tropical fruit. Pithy hops and a smooth finish for the ABV. Finishes a littles bitter, but what would you expect from a DDH TIPA?
