The beer pours a nice brown head that dissipates quickly while the beer itself is a dark chocolate brown that looks very black.
The smell is good. It has a nice red grape note upfront that slowly mixes with a sweet milk chocolate. The other wine notes like the tannin and oak note are also pretty nice.
The taste is pretty good. It has a good strong wine note with an oak wood note and some light tannins. The sweet milk chocolate mixed with a caramel taste and resembles a good brownie that comes out in the finish.
The feel is good. It has a heavy body and wine-like texture. The finish is dry with a very effervescent carbonation.
Overall, a delicious beer and worth getting.

Look - Has a dark brown with less head and sediment as other dark daze bottles. Has a reddish hue as well.
Smell - Smell the wine barrel up front with some browned butter and chosolate.
Taste - Not too sweet and the first sips are really nice. The chocolate notes balance great with the red wine notes, as they tend to do. As it warmed up it became a little winey for my tastes. But I liked the variety compared to the rest of the dark daze beers.
Feel - Dryer than a typical milk stout because of the wine barreling which was neat. Nice balance.
Overall - A unique beer. I tend to be leery of wine barrel aged stouts (think they can be too rich) but this one has a nice balance of flavors and feel. It is a distinctly interesting variant of the whangdoodle series.
